Everything changed because of someone I never met.
A stranger made a decision that took only seconds. That one choice gave me another season. Another story. Another chance to be here. Now, I'm dedicating my second chance to helping others receive theirs.
One Decision Changed Everything
Before that second chance, I was running out of time.
I spent months fighting for my life, trapped in a system that seemed impossible to navigate while my health continued to decline. There were moments when I wondered if the my chance would ever come, or if I'd live long enough to receive it.
Then my phone rang.
My donor was a 34-year-old man named Spencer. Long before he knew my name, he made the decision to become an organ donor.
That one decision didn't just save my life. It gave me the opportunity to tell my story, honor his legacy, and help others receive the same gift.

A season of my life had more ups and downs than the Chicago Bears. I am sharing my story with the hope that when the credits roll, the conversation doesn't end. Instead, it inspires people to learn more about organ donation, have meaningful conversations with the people they love, and consider becoming organ donors themselves.
